Sorry sir, we have no electricity
Nov. 2002

I wondered how a person from the third world would react to digital/computer art. If electricity is not something that can not be considered a constant, if it even exist at all, what are we then to do with notions of using unusual inputs (a keyboard and mouse) to create aesthetic reactions. Also inspired by the creativity of such people to create toys and other objects from items most of us would consider trash. Taking an old Royal typewriter as an input I hoped to reinterpret its use as a means to create a new aesthetic output.
